Viral: James Pearce claims “uncertainty” over Jordan Henderson’s future

Liverpool could be repeating a mistake made this summer directly in front.

After watching a reliable central midfielder Gini Wijnaldum leaves for free after months of fruitless contract talks, the Reds face the same fate with Jordan Henderson.

The inspiring leader is we think he is in negotiations with Anfield club on a new deal, but talks are not progressing as hoped.

This is according to a report by Athleticism, Quoted by James pearce on Twitter.

The report says the hierarchy has “higher priorities” to deal with this summer in to attach like Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah and Fabinho.

In a strange turn of events, the same report also claims Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino “is closely monitoring” developments regarding the 31-year-old.

Henderson celebrated his 10th birthday as Red last month after having signed from Sunderland in 2011, doing 392 appearances since arriving in Merseyside.

If ever a piece of news was not welcome, it was this one.

On the eve of a national campaign, Liverpool need positivity more or less to the end, no uncertainty about the future of the captain and such a talismanic figure in the team.

Although it remains possible for the time being, Henderson will remain a red beyond his 2023 contract, any upheaval would be grossly unwelcome.

Valued at £ 18million (Transfer market), the England ace at 64 caps may not be considered the most important asset in terms of market value, but when it comes to impacting the side, few can match.

FSG must put reluctance to offer big deals to aging stars aside for someone then integral to Jurgen Klopp’s plans.

Should Liverpool do everything possible to keep Jordan Henderson?
