Sagaci, specialist in Africa, appoints a head of research Quant Consumer

Africa-focused data and analytics firm Sagaci Research has appointed Paloma Orejas as Director of Quantitative Research, heading its Quantitative Consumer Research department.
Founded in 2012 by former Boston Consulting Group executives Julien Garcier and Joao Terlica, Sagaci specializes in personalized feeds and surveys, while offering a suite of data products that includes a syndicated daily health tracker. brand called SagaBrand; online category consumption metrics, SagaCube; SagaTracker retail audits; and census of SagaTrade points of sale. The company’s exclusive panel covers 34 countries across the African continent.
Orejas (pictured) joins in Spain, after almost fourteen years at Innovate Solutions (Ireland), where she most recently served as Director of Sensory Research. In this role, she provided outsourced services to alcoholic beverage company Diageo, overseeing a wide range of beverage sensory research projects in Africa. His experience covers methodologies related to sensory research and product testing – including quantitative descriptive analysis, shelf-life testing, temporal method, rapid profiling methods, benchmarking studies, sensory panel management , etc
In her new role, Orejas reports to MD Julien Garcier, who comments: “Paloma’s background, the depth of her technical expertise in product testing, and specifically sensory research, makes her an ideal leader for her rely on the excellent work of the Sagaci Research team. , as well as deepen our technical skills in some key FMCG categories in Africa.
